Petersen nomads...
That's what I feel like lately. We've been getting settled at my parents house this week. Our move to Valdez on Monday marked the second in six months, the third in two years, fourth in three years, fifth in four years, seventh in five years. I don't hate moving. I hate clutter and am thankful that I quite regularly have the oppurtunity to declutter, which is what I do in a big way whenever we move. However, I am looking forward to the day when we make that "final" move...for awhile anyway. I would absolutely love for our first house to be that house that our family will grow-up in...but right now I would settle for an affordable house period. I'm also getting very excited at the prospect of actually being able to decorate the way I really want to. I realize these things take money. Most of the time lots of money. But I'm also perfectly okay with it taking time....a go as you can afford time plan. Which also brings up another thing I'm incredibly thankful for...a very handy husband! I've got all kinds of ideas for things I want Dave to build for me! And as an added bonus - he loves to do it!

i can't believe that list of yours of how often you've moved. that's amazing! i was just thinking of how i can't wait for us to be able to come out and visit you guys. but, now, we'll probably want to wait until you're settled in your own house. i hope it won't be too long for you! i love decorating and painting and creating my own home too. and, i too, realize how lucky we are to have handy husbands. it's pretty rare!
