More Smiles

Family Movie Night

We enjoyed a quiet evening at home this Friday. And yes, we do keep our house on the cool side but it's not THAT cold - the kids just got new winter hats and won't take them off. Hopefully they'll keep it up and when it is actually cold enough (quite possibly tomorrow) that the hats are needed it won't be a fight to get them on.

Artist of the Family

Kali's main birthday gift this year was an art easel. She LOVES art - there are not many minutes in a day when she's not coloring, cutting, pasting, painting, or "crafting" (scrapbooking in her own special way)! I guess that's a good thing since we've had lots of "play inside days" this summer and now winter is almost here!

Kyle is such a happy baby - he brings so much joy into our lives!

Kali Turns 5!

Grandpa & Grandma Petersen!

First Day of School

About once a week for the last year Kali has been asking me how much longer until Fall - she knew Fall meant she would start preschool. She loves it and I love it that she's so happy learning in such a fun environment. I love her teacher - it's a lady I've know since I was eight; I grew up with her kids and now are kids are growing up together. It's not a religious school but it is a private school and they're able to pray before their snack and talk about Jesus' birth at Christmas time which I also love!

Silver Fishing...again :)

These babies are now in bottles in our food storage closet!

(the fish not the actual babies:))

Big Sister

Kali loves caring for her baby brother!

Alaska State Fair

The kids LOVED the fair! Especially the animals! We were there on "Alaska Day" so Dave could have his Valdez booth. His co-worker was scheduled to go but ended up moving out of town so we decided to do a last-minute trip to Palmer. My mom came with us to help with the kids...something about having three and only two hands scares me when there are that many people around! They had a good time on the little rides. Corey especially loved the fishing for frogs game. We also spent a good hour and a half with the baby chicks; and a good deal of time in the Petting Zoo.
