Santa gifts waiting back at home...

Santa knew how far we had to travel after Christmas so he (and the kids) decided that their stockings should be left at Grandma Petersen's in Denver for Christmas morning and a gift for each left at Grandma Dahlstrom's back in Alaska. They thought the idea of two Christmas' was very cool!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we were gifted with a Petersen reenactment of The Christmas Story. Thanks Aunt Cindy for the story and props!

Christmas day was the warmest of the days we were in Denver so we decided to spend the afternoon with the animals.


This Gorilla caused quite the excitement when it leapt at the window pounding the glass in front of Kristine's face and then stared her down for a good minute. We all took a moment after that to check just how thick the glass was...
